Zuiderwint Farming was started in 1998 by Betsie Zuidersma and Tjasse Winter, when Tjasse emigrated from the Netherlands, to join Betsie in farming fresh vegetables.

Tjasse and Betsie soon realized the need for agricultural mechanization in South Africa, and with Tjasse’s background and expertise in agricultural mechanization, they started Zuiderwint Mechanization in 2010.  They provide farmers with machine concepts from Europe, which they have adapted to suit South African conditions.  Zuiderwint Mechanization understands South African labour and farming circumstances, and can adapt machines to suit the South African farming environment.

Zuiderwint, in conjunction with Inttrac Trading, develop the “Rhino” range of farming equipment, which is manufactured entirely in Meyerton, South Africa.
